Jacqueline Burns has lived in the Bay Area all her life and says she plans to stay here forever. Due to a pending divorce, Jacqueline and her 16 year-old daughter, TaShea Callis, and her son’s infant baby, Delvin Lanier, are currently living with a friend who is a Habitat homeowner. The Burns’ family will be the Thrivent for Lutheran’s partner family. Right now this home is severely overcrowded. The Burns’ family sleeps in the living room on the sofa, love seat, and floor. They could not stay there indefinitely and until now, had no place to go. Jacqueline is described by her employer and friends as a dependable, hardworking team player; a very giving, thoughtful individual.
