Donations to Bay Area Habitat for Humanity - Houston, Inc.The
work of Habitat for Humanity simply could not continue without donations from individuals, churches, corporations, and foundations.
We are very thankful for your consideration of Habitat to be the beneficiary of your charitable donation.
It costs BAHfH - Houston, Inc. approximately
$50,000 (not including the land) to build one home. While the purchase price is repaid by the families, it is
repaid over 20 years (with no profit and no interest, of course). Since money is repaid much more slowly than it is
spent building new homes, it is essential for Habitat to raise funds to support its building. Habitat is a tax-exempt
501(c)(3) charitable organization, so all deductions are tax-deductible. Donations can also be non-cash items, such
as building supplies, land, or services. There may also be tax benefits to you for donating appreciated securities (stocks,
etc).
Bay Area Habitat for Humanity - Houston, Inc. is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) charitable
organization which is authorized by the IRS to receive tax-deductible donations. With our administrative expenses being
less than 10%, over 90% of your donation goes directly into our home construction expenses. You can donate in the following ways:
1. By Check or Money Order Directly to BAHFH-Houston, Inc
 This is the most common way of making a donation
to Habitat. Simply write a check or money order payable to:

We will acknowledge your donation within two weeks.
We will be happy to acknowledge memorials or
honorariums if you so request, and include the address of the acknowledgee.
2. Donations of Non-Cash
Items
We will thankfully accept your non-cash donation and
even services if we can make good use of it. Although, our affiliate does not operate a Habitat Re-store, for items
that can't be used for the actual home construction, we will provide you with the phone and location of
the nearest Habitat re-store that can take your donation.
In general, building materials are the most useful, however,
the house plan and material building codes must meet inspections. Please call the Habitat office at 281-337-3590
to discuss your donation with us.
Should you desire
to donate a large non-cash item such as real property, appreciated securities, or other such item, we would be grateful to
discuss the possibility with you.
