Women Build facts

Women are a powerful social and economic force with the means to both fund and construct homes where children can flourish.

Women-built projects provide an opportunity for women to learn new skills, participate in team-building activities and make a lasting difference for children and families.

A total of more than 450 Women Build homes have been built worldwide. This year will be Bay Area-Houston Habitat's 4th Women Build.

These homes seek to address the growing problem of children living in poverty in the U.S.

Currently, 12 million U.S. children (1 in 6) live in poverty, which is a severe threat to their health, growth and potential.
