Bay Area Habitat hosted our annual 5K fun run on Saturday, April 29, 2023, and it was a great event! Seeing the community come together in support of our mission was a heartwarming sight — the turnout was even more meaningful given the fact that we experienced bad weather the night before. Thankfully, the weather cleared up just in time for our race and it was breezy but beautiful!
Our race was hosted once again at Walter Hall Park, where our course consisted of three laps around one big loop. We were happy to have the Clear Falls High School Troubadours singing the National Anthem before our race, and the League City Steelin Cats performing as runners passed by. Additionally, Randall’s in League City was kind enough to donate all the snacks, bananas, and water bottles to our race! We could not have organized this event without the support of our sponsors, participants, the board/staff, and our race director, Todd Hinz.
