Last week, on Wednesday, March 22, Bay Area Habitat hosted our annual breakfast event, where community members joined us for a meal and to learn more about our organization. We hosted our event at the beautiful Lakewood Yacht Club, where we were able to fill the room with over 150 guests! Our audience was engaged, willing to learn about our mission of providing affordable housing, and enthusiastic to participate in order to help us reach our goals. Thank you to our table captains, for filling your tables, and thank you to all of our guests, who took the time out of their morning to join us!
Thank you to our speakers for sharing your stories:
- Elaina Polsen, Board Member & Event Co-Chair
- Pastor Brad Heintz, Living Word Church of Bay Area
- Philip Golden, Executive Director
- Yesenia Plancarte, Habitat Homeowner
- Steve Regan, Board Member
- Richard Sowell, Wellby Financial Chief Strategy Officer
- Haley Svrcek, Board Treasurer & Event Co-Chair
Our event co-chairs, Elaina Polsen & Haley Svrcek, did a fantastic job bringing their vision to life, to plant the seeds of hope in our guests’ hearts! It is with everyone’s time, talents, and treasures that we are able to continue building affordable housing in our community. We cannot do this without you, and we are grateful to have your support.
”I was deeply moved by the undercurrent of passion and purpose of those who joined us for the breakfast. It was evident there is a shared vision to build homes in our community.
