My name is Crystal, and I was born in Houston, Texas. I am a dedicated single mother to my daughter, Abaline.
I work as a Registered Behavioral Therapist at an ABA clinic in Galveston County, where I help children with autism and behavioral challenges navigate life’s complexities.
My journey hasn’t been without its challenges. After life plans changed, I found myself uncertain about the future. During a conversation with my cousin, I was encouraged to apply for a home with Habitat for Humanity.
What began as a leap of faith turned into a life-changing decision. After applying, I faced a waiting period filled with anticipation. Months later, I received the call that would forever change the course of our lives: I had been selected for the next Habitat for Humanity Home located in Texas City.
Through this incredible opportunity, Abaline and I can create a new, stable home, a place where we can build our future with hope and gratitude.
I am deeply thankful to Habitat for Humanity for their unwavering support and for giving us the gift of a fresh start.
