My name is Veronica, and I’m a proud mother, dedicated professional, and lifelong resident of Pasadena, TX. For 36 years, this community has shaped my values, my resilience, and my profound belief in building a better future—both for myself and for my two children, Dezmon and Makayla.
I grew up with limited resources, but I was raised in a home full of encouragement, love, and quiet strength. My parents couldn’t offer much financially, yet they gave me something far more lasting: determination. Their example taught me the value of hard work, sacrifice, and perseverance—lessons that have guided every step of my journey.
Today, I work as an Assistant Project Manager for an HVAC company, where I take pride in my ability to stay organized, communicate clearly, and help projects come to life. My role requires discipline, focus, and problem-solving—qualities strengthened by my life experiences and my commitment to providing for my family.
More than anything, I am a mother who strives every day to create a life filled with love, stability, and opportunity for my children. I want Dezmon and Makayla to grow up knowing they are supported, valued, and capable of achieving anything. Every challenge I’ve faced has made me stronger, and every blessing has made me more grateful. I honestly never take anything for granted; tomorrow is never promised.
I thank God for the incredible opportunity to build a future home through Habitat for Humanity. This milestone is more than a house; it represents hope, progress, and a fresh start. It’s proof to my children that no matter where you begin, you can build something meaningful with faith, perseverance, and the courage to keep going.
My story is rooted in resilience, shaped by gratitude, and driven by purpose. I’m committed to creating a brighter future for my family and to showing my children that possibility is always within reach. The journey hasn’t been easy, but it has made me who I am—and this is only the beginning.
